The right portable AC
for your room.
PortableAC.eu sizes the cooling your room actually needs, then shortlists the portable air conditioners that fit. It starts with the window you'll vent through.

Three ways to cool a room
One of these fits your flat.
Mobile split
from €899
The noisy half sits outside. Quietest and most efficient, and only a thin pipe crosses the window.

How accurate is the estimate?
It is a transparent rule of thumb built from published installer and retailer guidance, not a full engineering survey. It is sized to get you to the right class of unit, and errs slightly generous because portables lose some output in real rooms. The full method, with every number, is on the sizing page.
Will it work with my tilt-and-turn window?
Yes, with a cloth seal that covers the whole tilted sash, not just the hose. A mobile split is even simpler, because only a thin pipe crosses the gap. Each window type has its own guide.
Do I need my landlord’s permission?
A wheeled portable usually does not, since nothing is fixed to the building. A mobile split needs somewhere outside for its module, so check first. The tool asks about this and adjusts what it recommends.
